German KVN Workshop

KVN is a popular Russian amateur theater show, where teams compete and scenify self-though jokes and situations. In YouTube one can find zillions of such emissions (its funny if you understand Russian 🙂 and they have their own sub-culture and network. There are several categories (highest one being aired in Pervij Kanal) and seasonal competitions.

Recently, an attempt is being done in Germany to migrate this model to German language and teams (contact: Comedy Battle)

I witnessed an introduction Workshop held in Bremen, where “how to write jokes” was taught (yes, there are techniques to write witty stuff !) and the teams had to write and perform their jokes. Following a summary:
